Do I Believe?

Given the word “believe” means to have confidence in the truth, the existence, or the reliability of something, although without absolute proof that one is right in doing so; and given I am a person who holds that the existence of the ultimate cause, and the essential nature of things are unknown and unknowable, and that human knowledge is limited to experience – I “believe” nothing, but I continually and earnestly act upon my experience, if there exists significant verifiable evidence that it is prudent and beneficial to so act, and only until there exists a greater body of verifiable evidence to cause me to act in another way.

That said, I am a person full of wonder, and imagine and fantasize about a great many things — tenaciously pursuing all possibility as a writer, designer, and human being.

I already knew you wrote well and this post shows excellent thinking skills as well. Would love to engage in philosophical discussion with you. In our home, we talk like you write (well not quite as articulate), instead of the weather. Fires up our debating skills.

Happy to read you’ll keep pursuing those “wonderings.” I, too, retain wonder.
