Gaia Yields

The following piece I created as a part of my abstract fantasy series. It is entitled “Gaia Yields” and depicts the earth (Gaia) giving birth to new plant life. The green orb symbolizes the earth, as well as the bursting seed of the new life. This piece was created to accompany the Haiku with which it shares its name. The original is a giclée on tight-thatched canvass, and measures 36″W x 54″H.
