Open window (reprise)

Night Breeze
•
briskly clean
silky cool
it spills in
the open window
slips satin silver
sly and sensuous
sheer and silent
as the moon
wafts and tumbles
tantalizes
floats and swoops
in sweet refresh
dances gently
up your arms
across your chest
to brush your cheek
wraps itself
soft upon you
in soothing
fond embrace
whispered rushes
fluttered breaths
like loving strokes
caress your skin
lilting tender
breath of comfort
zephyred fingers
toss your hair
from heated torment
with crisp compassion
this night breeze
delivers true
…

Beautiful poem, Rob. I’ve sat here smiling to myself the whole time I’ve been reading your poems - thank you! I must visit you more often - I especially enjoyed your Haiku too. I don’t think I’d know where to begin on that!

Your poetry is always so explicit and descriptive. I can picture what you write. It amazes me that poetry can make ‘feel’. Your writing does that for me.
