The Big Beat

Drums of passion, drums of anger
drums of sorrow, drums of joy -
the slap, pound, rattle, boom
ignites a fire in the heart,
and sets the spirit free.
Free to laugh. Free to cry.
Free to dance. Free to love.
Free to be – at one with all.
Drums teach. Drums heal.
Drums resonate truth.
The rhythm of life,
the pulse of the world,
blessed be the big beat!
