“Tranquil Lake” is a photo rendering which is most dear to me. I captured this at a beautiful high-mountain lake, to which we’d hiked, in the Oregon range of the Cascade Mountains. I infused the image with a misty, dream-like quality.
This shows my son Aaron exploring, fascinated by the natural splendor, with my wife Kathy looking on from a distance. Aaron’s brother Justin balances precariously, just beyond the right of the scene, on a fallen log which extends over the lake.
Having lost Aaron in his 18th year, this was the last time he ever traveled with us into the mountains.
