Truth

Truth
•
prowling
the nocturnal neon zoo
groin deep in humankind
suckling life’s sweet underbelly
swilling full
the luscious flesh festival
seduced
by the siren song
of sacred craving
I am a night being
stalking
dangerous
I am a sentient being
disillusioned
seeking
my fingers burn
from dancing
with the fire-whores of
angst
and indignation
I come
in a rolling demon’s fire
fast and hard
tough as hell
cresting
and crashing in
howling mad
scorching the night
dancing
with every devil I can find
ranting
raving
blazing
a combusting carnal fireball
fierce appetite
roaring hungry
for all of life’s deliciousness
longing to consume
every forbidden morsel and crumb
of passion
desire
knowledge
of truth
ferociously

Wow does this have some punch!
Especially love the image of “suckling life” and how you use the sound effects of well-placed words to create dynamic drama!

You never disappoint me with your power of words. I guess this is why too many lie.

for me,, i would have to interject the word was.. as i am no longer interested in setting the world on fire,, or playing with fire… after numerous death defying burns,, i have found it easier and less painful to leave the flames alone….
very well constructed piece…

Wow. This took the search for truth (something to which I can well relate) to a totally different level: visceral, sensual and ablaze with passion. The imagery was fantastic.
Hope you have even a little bit of this passion channeled into your anniverary get-away! Congratulations!

This has the punch of a death metal rock video. I feel like wearing black leather and setting fire to things. Absolutely delicious.
