Two perspectives on an open window

Timewindow

the love we’ve given
have ignored
or brought to hurt

what we’ve created
left undone
or have destroyed

all we cherish
misunderstand
or do regret

who we were
who we are
or will become

our thread of life

ever unspooling

through time’s open window

Quest

for years I’ve given chase

with cunning plan
and clever plot

with faith and vigor

an earnest quest
to track the prize

a life’s endeavor

but I grow weary
my stride unsteady

bent by time
the yoke of worry
the weight of loss

still I carry on

relentless in pursuit
of fleeting opportunity

someday to find
its elusive open window

Thank you, you are so very kind! ;)

Your gracious words lift me, at this very low time emotionally.

Time cannot be slowed or captured.

    Only savored.

    One window at a time.

    Brian -

How very true — and so it goes…

A cool breeze is just what I needed. (A comment for your other poem!)

love, love this one! especially these lines:
    “zephyred fingers
    toss your hair”
such dreamy, swirly quality to your night breeze.

I enjoyed reading both. Commenting gets difficult here. So I had to come back.

You create such good images in both.
