I cup wonder’s spark
in my palms —
small
trembling
bright as a newborn star
as winds of uncertainty stir
coveting its shimmer
but I build walls of dreams
vision
feed it whispers
color
and song
until it explodes
to burn unbridled
effervescent
fierce
unextinguishable

I love the walls of dream feeding it with color and whispers…yes, that is how to nurture a dream.
beautiful, Rob
Thank you so much True — enwrapped in a wonderwall… 😉
Rob, I love how you take something on it’s last legs and restoke it into immortality.
We must embrace our dreams, lest we live in a nightmare… 😐
For sure. Now you must tell me what your dreams are!
I have just shared my dream about flying Lisa. I am the Boy Who Dreamed the Cosmos. More at a later date my friend… 😉
Beautiful write Rob.
Thank you Shaun… 🙂
A bright spark of wonder quadrille, Rob! Never stop tending that spark and feeding it ‘whispers color and song’.
Thank you, Ken and I certainly won’t stop tending. It seems since my hospitalization and some of my health challenges. Recently, my imagination has gotten more fertile — I hope it lasts. 😉
Inextinguishable indeed, Bro. Great read. Thanks!
Thank you so much, bro. Nice to be back in the saddle a bit here riding (writing)… 🙂
What a gorgeous, sparkling write, Rob!
And so good to see you. Hope you are well. ??
Thank you Punam, very much.:)
This is the kind of dreams we all love the best
May they always lift our lives… 😉
Unextinguishable – yes, must! (Missed you at OLN, hope you’re on the mend)
Thank you Paul. I wanted to be there at “Live”, but I was dealing with Angina, and had enjoyed very little sleep. Next time I hope.
“feed it whispers
color
and song”
Love this, Rob!
Thank you Sara! Color and song came first, but I felt “whispers” added a wonderful intimate reverence — which struck me as added depth. 🙂
