New Light

Poet
do not weave
your fabric of myth
or speak to us in grand riddle

telling of the mysteries
of the spheres
or glorious
times past

help us see
a new way of light

set ablaze our pure hearts
with true fire
of honesty

    1. Thank you so much Maria. I am flattered and humbled to have my piece recall to you a piece by our Port Laureate… 🙂 …I just followed your link, snd read the “End Of Poetry”. I love Ada’s piece! Thank you for steering me there my friend… 😉

  1. On the world wide stage … would it not be miraculous if we managed to follow your poetic musings? Even a fraction. Well done, my Friend.

    1. I can certainly hope Helen, but I will not hold my breath, my friend. The world is as of the world is a bit fucked up but wonderful all the same, and the only one we got… 😉

    1. I am exhausted at times by this faux world in which it seems we live. I am glad to be 77 with failing heart. Sometimes I debate whether or not to put the new battery in my Pacemaker next year. They monitor it closely so I probably have no say in the matter. But sometimes I am just so tired of the human bullshit constantly in the daily news. COD — battery died… 😐

  2. Wow, beautiful artwork! And a good message in the poem too – we can get so wound up in our elaborate phrases and mystic metaphors that we run the risk of being incomprehensible, and then what good is our writing?
