I’ve just had fruit and yogurt, and now you’ve tempted me with poached eggs, Rob!
Sorry Kim — I love poached eggs on a slice of crisp goetta, with a chai latte, soy, extra hot. Goetta is from a Cincinnati kitchen called Glier’s a breakfast delicacy available only in Cincinnati which I have shipped dry ice out here to the Pacific Northwest. It originated in the German “Over the Rhine” district of Cincinnati. I also love another exclusive Cincinnati dish, its Greek chili from a place called Skyline. I have that shipped here in cartons of canned Skyline straight from their commissary kitchen. I also love the French-pot ice cream, exclusively from Graeters in Cincinnati — dark chocolate, large chunk in creamy vanilla bean Ice Cream. I have that shipped out here in dry ice as well. Nothing like this stuff anywhere. It’s all to die for for! Once you have tasted the best you do what it takes to get it. Our household eagerly counts the days until the next shipment arrives.
and here I was thinking of something entirely different… enjoy those eggs.
