—-<§>—-
madness whips the trembling air
time loses its ever steady stare
as all once seen as solid — loses hold
reality spins — and perception folds
thoughts invade — reason thins
chaos laughs — upheaval grins
suddenly thinking is heavy as sin
facts jumble in a mental whirlwind

This is crazy good, Rob; set me whirling. Thanks (I guess).
Thank you Ron… 😉
I hope it’s ok that I read all this in the Vincent Price voice from the end of the song “Thriller.” It fit perfectly. Well done, Sir.
Read it as you see it De. I have learned to live with it, actually employing it in the act of creating. Like Joni Mitchell, at my creative work I am meticulous, but my creative space frequently looks like a storm hit it.
“thoughts invade — reason thins” … make it stop, indeed! xx, ren
It never does friend… 🙂
Very well written, Rob. Time to turn off the talking heads it seems. They just stir up the drama and anxiety!
The heads have their ourooset
So well expressed!
Thank you Rosemary… 🙂
Great poem, Ron.
Thagnk youmArcasigsAnother poem I can relate to,Rob. The mental whirlwind can be exhausting at times. especially when:
as all once seen as solid — loses hold
reality spins — and perception folds
It isva bad situation true!
Rob, I’m getting imagery of the storms on Mars.
Powerfgulmdtuff???
This all seems familiar, Rob, the laughing chaos and mental whirlwind. You’ve captured it so well.
Kim, I am pleased that you’re able to warm into a familiarity. I hope you enjoyed.
Facts have been lost and it is just getting worse.
Facts have been lost, plowed under, twisted, revisioned, and left in the sun to brittle & bleach. truth left the game a long time ago. All we have left is just what drivel people will believe, !Pathetic!
The truth will out, but by then, it will be forgotten.
At least once…
You’ve spun a whirl of a quadrille, Rob. Well done.
Thank you Dora… 😉
Great poem I love “facts jumble in a mental whirlwind”
Thank you Marja… 🙂
Rob, I really feel this one—“facts jumble in a mental whirlwind” hits close to home. It’s like standing inside my own storm.
