This “found poem” is made from the first line from each monthly poem I posted in 2023. At the very bottom of this post is the title of each in chronological order. These first lines were not assembled chronologically.

Mysterious lady in blackened silk
your essesnce unearthed in Corsica
we have watched billowing pearl clouds
sing to me my sweet sweet lover

a whispered zephyr tosses my hair
a stolen kiss in the night
I can still feel it — all of it
tonight memories unfold

hmmm… excuse me please
this american life is flawed
nightfall now — the darkness descends
