Ripples

Take a stone
from your pocket
toss it into a lake

as each ripple rises
a precious wish you make

let ripples now that spread
be dreams that fill your head

may each ripple
that returns to you
be a beautiful dream come true

    1. A prayer for all grandchildrenLisa, from 8 to 88. We are all somebody’s grandchild. We are never too young or old to dream. Wishing evolving to to dreaming, supported by the effort to make dreams come true — is far more desirable in my book than plotting to suppress and control the dreams of others. I feel ripples can be a totem of immediacy to foster mindful purposeful wishing/dreaming. Not air-headed daydreaming.
