Deadline

Deadline

presented for your consideration
deadlines
and time
time is relative
a fleeting thing
non-substantive
so how does one keep time
to keep is to hold
or maintain
something in your possession
it would seem
given the insubstantial nature
of time
that one cannot
with time
being the core component
of a deadline
and time unable to be ‘kept’
the logical deduction
is that a deadline
is therefore unable to be ‘kept’
it would also seem
that it [...]

So Amusing

…this is a fond homage to Theodor Seuss Geisel and Sheldon Alan Silverstein…

So Amusing

what is it you find so amusing my dear
perhaps it’s the fact I have only one ear
it makes it difficult to accurately hear
so you’ll have to speak that much louder I fear
yes it’s true, as you see, I have only my right
the [...]

Supple Soul

…photo below entitled “Strange Fruit”, by Lucas Rocha…

Supple Soul

rise up now
clad in colors
of a joyful life
rebuke the strife
tilt against convention
the prevailing norm
is a toxic storm
buck the winds of brute rebuff
stare down the face of ridicule
if buffeted by cruel
condemnation
from the foolish
sadly blown off course
be not inclined to fear
nor falter
choose instead
to tame the dread
to stay [...]

it once was vital whole and strong
‘till one day beauty came along
she [...]

So Good

• Here is a bit of lighthearted noir tongue-in-cheek…

So Good

do not take this as precocious
but in business I’m ferocious
I wheel the deal with an artist’s feel
I rip the meat down to the bone
if I do say so – I’m incredible
so good, I’m almost edible
brains and brawn, I’m bright as the dawn
I’m on my game and [...]
